HOLISTIC LEADERSHIP: A SUPERVISORY PROGRAM Date: July 17 - 18, 2008 Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Venue: ASTORIA PLAZA, Ortigas, Pasig City Workshop Description: As a leader: •are you doing things right? If yes, then you are an EFFICIENT LEADER! •are you doing the right things? If yes, then you are an EFFECTIVE LEADER! •are you doing right things right? If yes, then you are an EXCELLENT LEADER! Many people find themselves in positions of responsibility with less or almost without any formal training resulting to staff demotivation and delayed productivity. This two-day holistic leadership experience provides an understanding of the techniques required for excellent people management and at the same time gives leaders the confidence to use these techniques at the right time. Participants practice the fundamental skills of how to manage and communicate more effectively based on the behavior styles of company employees. Participants learn to improve the productivity and job satisfaction by translating management and behavioral science concepts into practical steps. The workshop is suitable for any person who has responsibility for managing a number of people at a functional level within an organization. Specific Objectives: By the end of this leadership experience, the delegates will be able to: •Understand their significant role in the organization •Identify practical key skills for excellent leadership •Develop personal action plans for future self development • Rediscover one’s leadership potential leading to ownership and entrepreneurship Workshop Outline: DAY ONE (Thursday, July 17, 2008) AWARENESS OF LEADERSHIP ESSENTIALS Leadership Defined •My definition of leadership •My company’s expectation of me as a potential leader •Difference between a leader and a manager Principles of Basic Leadership •What are the basic foundations of a powerful leader? •How do these foundations lead to a high performing organization? •How do I enhance all my intelligences to maximize productivity? Holistic Leadership •What are the ingredients of a stable leadership? •How do these ingredients complement each other? •How do you sustain results using balanced leadership? Critical Soft Skill •Listening as a forgotten approach among today’s leaders •The art of connecting to people with great degree of sincerity The Leader’s Winning Mindset •How does a real leader think? •Where does he anchor his day-to-day objectivity? •What keeps him always optimistic and proactive?
